SATOP is a 2-step process that provides information, education, and treatment. OEP: hour education course for offenders over the age of 20 which is the most widely recommended course and indicates that the person taking this class is a low risk for a repeat offense.
The WIP is 25 hours of intensive education and counseling, over a weekend. The CIP consists of 50 hours of counseling and education over at least 5 weeks. This program was designed for individuals who are experiencing problems that may indicate the individual is at high risk. Level 3: Clinical Intervention Program — this is a 50 hour outpatient program for more serious offenders who have at least one prior offense.
Level 4: Serious and Repeat Offenders Program — this is the most intensive SATOP program for the most serious offenses and those with the highest level of dependency and risk of becoming a repeat offender. This class is a minimum of 75 hours of treatment that must be completed within a 90 day window.
